COVID-19 UPDATE: Governor Beshear Signs Executive Order Mandating Face Masks

On July 9th, Governor Andy Beshear entered an executive order requiring Kentuckians to wear face coverings when they are in situations presenting a high risk of transmitting COVID-19. Specifically, the order applies to situations where it is difficult to maintain six feet of physical distance between those individuals who are not members of the same household. The order also specifically exempts certain individuals from the face covering requirement, including children who are five years old or younger, and any person who has a physical or mental disability that prevents them from wearing a face covering. The face covering mandate went into effect on July 10, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.

GMA requires everyone who enters and remains upon its premises to abide by the Governor’s executive orders and all CDC guidance. Anyone entering the premises must first check their temperature. In addition, while GMA requests that anyone entering the premises bring their own face covering, we provide disposable face masks at each of our two main entrances.
