GMA Attorneys & Staff Work Continuity Announcement [UPDATED]

In response to the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic, the law firm of Gess Mattingly & Atchison, P.S.C., advises that the firm remains open for business and strives to continue providing a high quality of legal services and to meet client needs and expectations.
The firm continues to operate under normal business hours (Monday-Thursday, 08:30-am to 05:30-pm, Fridays, 08:30-am to 05:00-pm), however, firm attorneys and staff, to the extent possible, will be continue to be working remotely rather than from the firm’s office, which will be closed to the public.
This is being done to protect the health and safety of firm personnel, as well as clients and the community in general. During this time, the firm and its attorneys and staff remain reachable by email or telephone as usual, however, in-person meetings will be limited to situations in which telecommuting is impossible, and any such meetings must be arranged through a pertinent firm attorney.
Effectively immediately and for the foreseeable future, and in accordance with the Governor’s Healthy at Work Phase I Reopening, anybody visiting the firm’s office:
- Must wear a facemask.
- Must have their temperature checked; anyone with a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or above will be denied entry.
- Must observe social distancing guidelines while in the office.
Hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will also be made available in the office.
As always, the firm remains committed to serving the best interests of our clients and to the end the firm’s technology allows attorneys and staff who are working remotely to do so effectively while maintaining the same level of security and privacy as our in-office systems so all client information remains secure.
The firm continues to closely monitor the updates, guidelines, and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s COVID-19 website.
