Ms. Bing joined Gess Mattingly & Atchison as an associate in 2017. Her principal areas of practice are Litigation, Business and Commercial Law, and Family Law.

She has extensive litigation experience on both the state and federal levels. Through the course of her career, she has successfully defended clients at trial, taken extensive discovery and evidentiary depositions, successfully argued motions for summary judgment, and represented clients at numerous mediations.

A native of Eastern Kentucky, Ms. Bing received her B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2013, where she was the Special Features Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal. At graduation, she received the College of Law Faculty Cup, which is awarded to the graduate who made the most outstanding contribution to the law school. Prior to joining the firm, Katie served as a law clerk for the Honorable Mary C. Noble of the Supreme Court of Kentucky, and as an associate at Taylor, Keller & Oswald, PLLC in London, Kentucky, where she practiced primarily in the areas of insurance defense, coverage issues, and premises liability, and traveled to counties throughout the Commonwealth.

Prior to attending law school, Katie spent two years as a first grade teacher in Lake Village, Arkansas as part of the Teach for America Program. In her spare time, she enjoys running and spending time with her husband, Stefan, and their two dogs, Hank and Bree.
