Mr. Bing joined Gess Mattingly & Atchison in 2013. Mr. Bing graduated in 2012 from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Kentucky Law Journal. After graduation he served as a law clerk for Justice Mary C. Noble of the Supreme Court of Kentucky. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science and Spanish, cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University in 2005.

Mr. Bing’s practice focuses primarily on business litigation as well as the representation of property owners owners in Central and Eastern Kentucky whose land is being taken by the government by eminent domain (also known as condemnation). He understands that these complex cases demand a skilled lawyer that will zealously represent the interests of clients in the pursuit of fair compensation for their loss. Stefan’s experience includes jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration proceedings. While Stefan enjoys the adversarial nature of litigation, he also strongly adheres to the notion that maintaining cordial professional relationships with other lawyers often helps his clients achieve positive outcomes via settlement whenever possible. Stefan has been recognized as a Kentucky Super Lawyers Rising Star for Business Litigation for 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
